Family Medicine Specialist Association Malaysia (FMSA), Singapore College of Family Physician and the Asia Pacific WONCA (World Organisation of Family Doctors) are organizing this inaugural research conference in our historical city, Melaka. We have laid out an exciting programme with research topics catering for everyone interested in research: from novice to the expert, and in different areas of research: from quantitative to qualitative research.

There are three tracks in the scientific programme: A basic research methodology track for the beginners, a biostatistic track for those who wish to learn about the ABC of the statistical aspects of quantitative studies, and a track for qualitative research and medical writing. In addition, we have attractive awards for the best oral and poster original research papers. All accepted abstracts will be published in our journal, the Malaysian Family Physician.

The target participants are all doctors who are setting out to learn about research, postgraduate candidates of all medical disciplines who are embarking into research world, general practitioners, health care workers, researchers, nurses who are doing their degrees, and social scientists.
