Abstract Submission
Call For Abstract
For Oral and Poster Abstracts
Invited speakers should refer to Speaker Abstract Submission Instructions .
The following submission guidelines apply to general meeting attendees. (They are also available here as a downloadable PDF document.)
Organizers are encouraged to select abstracts for oral presentations during the program. Selections are made by organizer review and based solely on quality with invitations issued from Family Medicine Specialist Association of Malaysia [FMSA].
Poster sessions encourage interaction and the exchange of ideas with speakers, organizers, and other scientists.
The total cost of the meeting is the same whether or not you submit an abstract.
Submitting an abstract does not constitute or guarantee registration. It is best to register early.
Meeting and abstract space can potentially fill prior to posted deadlines.
Abstracts are published in a non-accredited journal that is given to all conference attendees.
Abstract editing is the responsibility of the author. Abstracts will be published as received.
STEP 1: Format Abstract.
Abstract must be saved in the rich text format (rtf) or Document Word 2003 (doc). In your word processing program, go to the file menu and choose Save As. Change the type to Rich Text Format (RTF).
We suggest using Helvetica font for your abstract and whenever possible, try to use the Symbol font in your RTF file for your Greek and Scientific symbols (alpha, beta, gamma, etc.) to ensure correct syntax when the Abstract Books are printed.
Abstract submitter must underline their name in the list of authors.
You may only submit one abstract per meeting.
Title should be followed by one return.
Author List and Institutions should be followed by two returns.
Abstract size should not exceed 3.5″ x 5″ (88.9mm x 127mm).
Margins for Letter size:
Top - 1″ (25.4 mm)
Bottom - 5″ (127 mm)
Left - 2.5″ (63.5 mm)
Right - 2.5″ (63.5 mm).
Margins for A4 size
Top - 25.4 mm (1″)
Bottom - 144.6 mm (5.693″)
Left - 60.55 mm (2.384″)
Right - 60.55 mm (2.384″).
These margins create the actual size your abstract will be published (four per page). Adjust font size and figure size as necessary. Do not shrink your font to less than 7 points. Abstract should be one page only.
Provide any grant acknowledgments for your research (i.e., NIH-AI-13028) at the end of your abstract.
